Mitigation Banks are the answer to mitigation needs for your development project.

The long-awaited Brick Road Mitigation Bank is HERE.
Brick Road Mitigation Bank is THE solution for your wetland mitigation needs in Flagler, St. Johns, Volusia and Putnam Counties. The Bank consists of approximately 3000 acres lying adjacent to the historic Old Brick Road at the Flagler/St. Johns county line. Once restored, the Bank will include a mosaic of pine flatwoods and deep swamps, which will be forever preserved. These wetlands will form the back-bone for a large wildlife corridor and provide significant improvements to Big Cypress and Pringle Swamps, an important groundwater recharge area.

Why use the Brick Road Mitigation Bank?
Mitigation Banks provide large scale, demonstrated improvements to wetlands in advance of impacts. Banks also ensure that mitigation for permitted activities will be successful and maintained in perpetuity by land managers whose priority is environmental restoration. More important to those in need of mitigation, banks make permitting simpler. Purchasing "credits" allows the user of an approved bank to avoid the costly and time-consuming process of permitting a project-specific mitigation area and maintaining it in perpetuity.

The Brick Road Mitigation Bank lies in and provides "regionally significant" mitigation for freshwater forested and herbaceus impacts in the Pellicer Creek and Matanzas River Watershed (Basin 9) and Crescent Lake Watershed (Basin 16).
